Our association’s key action for 2024 is to help Turkish families hard hit by the earthquake. When natural disasters strike, the consequences are often devastating, especially for low-income households who lose everything overnight. Our commitment goes beyond simple empathy; it’s about providing concrete, meaningful support to rebuild shattered lives.<\/p>\n
Firstly, our Me & Colibri association aims to provide substantial financial assistance to help these families overcome the loss of their homes. Rebuilding a home is a crucial step towards normalizing daily life and restoring dignity. We are committed to providing the necessary financial resources for rehousing, thus offering a stable and secure home.<\/p>\n
At the same time, we recognize the importance of educational continuity, especially for affected children. We are working to ensure that family children have continued access to education despite the challenges posed by the disaster. This can include the provision of school materials, support for enrolment in new schools, and even setting up homework help programs. Education is a powerful lever for the future, and our association strives to preserve this opportunity for every child.<\/p>\n
What’s more, we consider access to medical and paramedical care to be an absolute priority. The physical and emotional consequences of a disaster can be profound, and our aim is to ensure that families receive the care they need. This can include medical expenses, therapy sessions, medication and any other support needed for physical and emotional healing.<\/p>\n
In short, our association is committed to providing integrated assistance, from rebuilding homes to continuing education and access to medical care. It is through these concrete actions that we aspire to restore hope and stability to those affected by the earthquake, accompanying them on the road to resilience and reconstruction.<\/p>\n\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\tMAKE A DONATION\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/a>\n Our first objective in providing crucial financial support is dedicated to those affected by the earthquake.<\/p>\n These funds will be used to help re-house families who have lost their homes, making it easier for them to rebuild their lives. In addition, we aim to ensure uninterrupted access to education, giving children the chance to continue their schooling despite the disruption caused by the disaster.<\/p>\n The funds will also be dedicated to medical care, ensuring the necessary treatment to recover from their injuries and resume their daily lives.<\/p>\n Every contribution counts, and together we can make a significant difference to the lives of those struggling to recover from the earthquake. <\/p>\n Monetary donations are used to meet the most pressing needs, purchase supplies, finance specific projects and cover operational costs. Individuals and companies can deduct their donations from their income tax, which can reduce their tax burden. A tax receipt will be issued for each donation (French tax residents only).<\/p>\n\t Some donors prefer to donate material goods such as clothing, toys, school supplies, non-perishable foodstuffs, medical equipment, etc. These donations can be redistributed directly to beneficiaries or used to reinforce the association’s programs.<\/p>\n\t Professionals can contribute their skills and expertise.
